This Privacy Policy describes how the Se Adună mobile app (the “App”) works from the point of view of user data. The App helps you see mathematically what your spending habits cost over time, track your budget and receipts, take a moment to reflect before a purchase, and keep a record of things you chose not to buy, based on the data you enter yourself.
The App is published by an individual, not by a company.
The App has no user account, login, password or mandatory e-mail. There is no server of its own, no online database and no cloud synchronization. The data you enter or create in the App is stored exclusively on your device:
Text and numeric data are kept using the App’s standard local storage mechanism (AsyncStorage), and photos are kept as files in the App’s private space, separately for receipts and for memories. Photos are not saved to your phone’s gallery. This data:
Important distinction: the fact that data is stored locally does not automatically mean there is no personal data. It means that the operator does not receive or collect this data, because it does not leave the device through the App. You own and control the data on your own phone.
The App uses the device camera for four features:
For Price Magic Box and Product recognition, the live camera feed is used only for real-time processing and is not saved as a photo or recording.
The camera permission is requested by the operating system when you choose to take a photo or start Shopping Impuls. You can refuse or revoke it at any time in your phone settings. Memories can be saved without a photo; adding a receipt in the App starts from a photo, so without camera access you cannot add new receipts, and you cannot use Shopping Impuls either.
The App does not access your phone’s gallery or photo library and does not request that permission. It does not request storage, microphone, location or contacts permissions. Photos taken through the App are kept only in the App’s private space.
Shopping Impuls is an optional module of the Impulse Pause that uses the phone's camera, live, for two separate features, each with its own technology:
Price Magic Box (price recognition): recognizes the text of a price shown on a label, on the device — on Android via Google ML Kit Text Recognition, on iPhone via Apple Vision. Recognition processing happens on the device. The detected price is used for the on-screen display and local calculation of the equivalent hours of work; Se Adună has no server of its own and does not send the price to any server of its own.
Product recognition: recognizes an object in the frame, on the device — on Android via Google Play Services for AR (ARCore) together with Google ML Kit Object Detection, on iPhone via Apple's ARKit, RealityKit and Vision. Recognition processing is local. We do not use Cloud Anchors, we do not use the Geospatial API, we do not use VPS or any form of location-based positioning; the App does not request the location permission. There is no account or server of its own for this feature.
Note on ML Kit: per Google's own official documentation, ML Kit's input and results are processed on-device; ML Kit does not send that input or its results to Google's servers. ML Kit may separately communicate with Google's services for its own functions and documentation, including model updates, hardware compatibility, and performance/usage metrics.
Note on ARCore / Google Play Services for AR: recognition in this feature does not use Cloud Anchors, the Geospatial API, or location-based positioning. The App does not send the camera image or the recognition result to a server of its own. ARCore / Google Play Services for AR is a Google component and may have its own collection and communication processes, per Google's own official documentation; we do not make a more specific claim here about exactly what data ARCore transmits beyond what can be verified from that documentation. The "Product recognition" feature includes ARCore functionality provided by Google: "This application runs on Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), which is provided by Google and governed by the Google Privacy Policy." (transparency quote; see also Settings → Legal and support, in the App).
The App does not use or integrate:
Cimitirul Regretelor has a sharing feature: at your explicit request, the App can compose a sharing card locally using your photo, price, date and, if present, reason, and then make it available through your phone’s sharing function to the app you choose. In certain fallback situations, the original photo and/or a text message may be shared instead. Se Adună does not transmit this data to its own server. For other results in the App, you can take a screenshot using your phone’s standard function.
The only permission the App explicitly requests is the camera. On Android, the INTERNET permission is excluded from the App (verified in the package manifest); the package may still contain technical permissions added automatically by standard components (for example reading the network state), which do not allow data to be transmitted. The App does not make network requests to external servers and does not transmit your content to the operator or to third parties. The Shopping Impuls modules (Price Magic Box and Product recognition) use Google libraries (ML Kit and ARCore respectively) that may separately communicate with Google's servers, independently of the App's own code — see Section 5.
Backups are made by the operating system or your account’s backup service (for example iCloud or Google), not by the App, and they are not a transmission of data to the operator. Depending on your phone and account settings, the data stored locally by the App, including receipt and memory photos, may be included in those backups. On Android, the App allows the system’s automatic backup. You can control this in your phone or account backup settings.
Backups previously made by the operating system or your backup service are not controlled by the App; they are managed from that service’s settings. The operator does not hold a copy of your data, so it cannot remotely delete something it does not have.
The App is not specifically directed at children. The operator does not receive data from users, including minors, because the data stays on the device (see Section 2).
The App is built to limit data: no account, no server, no transmission of content to the operator. This Policy describes the App’s technical behavior. It is not a declaration of legal compliance or a legal opinion.
Distribution through the App Store and Google Play is also subject to Apple’s and Google’s policies. The privacy declarations in the stores are based on the behavior described in this Policy.
If this Policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same address with a new update date. The current date is shown at the top of the page.
